The Illusion
by Tony Kushner
Freely adapted from Pierre Corneille’s 17th Century fairy-tale, L’Illusion Comique.  The comedy is elegant and full of depth, territory on which theatre thrives: fantasy, witchcraft that transcends place and time.  A father has consulted a magician about his estranged son and the magician shows him scenes from his son’s life.
